nice...

Haven't played this game in years. I'm surprised I even remember this theme. Certainly brought back some memories with this.

As with all your acapellas, nicely done! Good job!

Awesome...

Ah, Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door. Great game indeed. In fact, I'm playing it right now! :D

I still remember fighting Rawk Hawk in the Glitz Pit. Was a great battle, but not as epic as the next one ;)

Really awesome job here!

Nice way to start off the song. That introduction is a very nice touch!

As for the rest of the song, love it! The guitars sound great, really. You got the notes down, with a really nice sound. Nothing I find wrong here.

The drums work well here. They compliment the guitars rather nicely.

Just when I thought it couldn't be any more awesome, you add in a sweet guitar solo at 1:18. Good job with the ending as well!

Good...

Definitely different from the other Brinstar remixes I have heard. Rather than an epic remix of it, it's a gentle, relaxing version of it.

I like it!

Really good job! Loving the way it sounds!

To be honest, I didn't recognize this as the Brinstar theme until it got to 0:36. Not a problem though, as the beginning was great.

No problems whatsoever, although maybe an addition of other instruments would be good.

AceIH responds:

Yeah, there's nothing even remotely Metroid-related until 0:26, and then Brinstar comes in soon after. The intro/outro just kind of establish the atmosphere a bit. I realize it's a bit sparse...I was going to add bass, but I was modeling this on my Kraid's Lair cover and I don't really like what the bass added to that song, so I decided to leave it out.

Good job!

Definitely a swingin' menu! Love it!

I especially like that it's an 8-bit song that doesn't hurt the ears. Nothing to improve on IMO. Good job!

Thank you for the review and rating! I guess keeping the tune simple is the best way to go.

This one...

Out of both versions, I prefer this one.

Reason being is the snyths you used throughtout the song. Really gave the song a space-like feeling to it.

Nice song here! Love the pianos and melodies.

For constructive criticism, I would suggest not to use the DNC_Snare_3 too much. While it is good for percussion purposes, to me it doesn't suit well using them as transitions. Take 0:29 - 0:35 for example.

I would suggest using other means of transition.

Overall, a good job!

thx for reviewing :p lol

ill check out the snare 0.29 - 0.35 and the dnc snare

Nice...

Quite some guitar skills you got there.

Great cover here. Though a couple of problems I find, it's still good.

One problem I find with this is the volume. At times it gets too loud and really hurts my ears. Take 0:26 for example.

Another problem is the quality of the recording. Everything just seems cluttered. Improvment on mixing would help.

Now, as for that solo, all I got say is awesome! Really, good job!

Overall, good work! Hope to see more Megaman covers!

woodmaister responds:

Haha, thanks alot man.

Yeah I understand that the mix was quite bad quality, but this was a one shot take on my camcorder to stick it on youtube, and the song was ripped from that.

I'll make sure to work on the quality for the next one I put up, thanks =D

Ehh...

Rather plain overall.

Nothing special about this. As Ratfuzz stated, same dynamic and style. Hardly any unique changes whatsoever.

I do notice though that you go up an octave at 0:27.

No change in the percussion. Exactly the same as I found in a MIDI file.

While I do love the song, this is nothing new. Not much of a remix at all. More so, just a change in instruments.

I've never wrote that it is a remix.
Lol, I used a midi because I'm so unoriginal.
And I didn't change anything because I'm so uncreative.
But thanks for review.

Beautiful....

I love it.....

Beautifully composed, and quite tranquil indeed. So calm, so peaceful. A good choice of instruments, and nice percussion.

A perfect balance of instruments. All blend well together, and don't overpower the others.

The crashes don't destroy the peaceful atmosphere, and the reverse cymbals are great in building up and are quite a nice touch.

Absolutely nothing wrong. Perfectly executed.

Another one?!

Ah, another Tetris remix I see. What is this, like the 1,000,000 remix?

Having listened to many, many Tetris remixes, I notice that this is different from the others.

The beginning was alright. Not good, but ok. While it was at a slow tempo, none of the notes connected right. The notes seemed out of step there. The guitar sounds nice though.

Did you use the Sytrus Distortion Guitar, or was it the Electric Guitar? Sounds like either, though I may be wrong on both. Either way, I didn't like it when it came in at 0:37. It jumps in and screws the main melody up. It would have been nicer to put it at a lower volume, or better not even in it.

1:18 is an ok part. Still not good though. The claps and kicks are a nice touch. It was sounding alright until the melody creeped back in. The original verse and main melody don't blend well.

Thank you for the informative review. first off it is electric #2 and the main idea was to have a decrepid sounding begining and ending, a bitt off beat/tune to make it sound twisted/evil. I was mainly experimenting when i made this... made in about 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Thank you for the words.

I'll take a shot at it!

0:00 - 1:02 ~ Megaman 1 - Cut Man
1:02 - 2:42 ~ Megaman 3 - Top Man
2:42 - 4:18 ~ Megaman X - Armored Armadillo
4:18 - 5:07 ~ Megaman X - Spark Mandrill
5:07 - 5:55 ~ Megaman 2 - Bubbleman
5:55 - 6:18 ~ Megaman X - Zero's Theme
6:18 - 7:18 ~ Megaman 6 - Centaurman
7:18 - 7:46 ~ Megaman 1 - Boss Battle
7:46 - 7:52 ~ Megaman 5 - Gameover

What do I win?

Now, I'm going to review each song. Every single one of 'em lol.

Great job with Cutman's theme! The drums were nice, and you got the melody down. Great beginning!

This one kinda disappointed me. Top Man's theme I mean. It just seems too slow. This song should have a lot of energy behind it. More uptempo really. The arrangement of the drums doesn't work well here. Some fast-paced drums would have been better. (-1)

A little shaky transition into Armored Armadillo. Nice instrument choices, and some nice drums. Top Man should have been at the same speed as this.

Ah, Spark Mandrill's theme. Something about this just sound right. Maybe it's just the drums, or the tempo of this piece. Again, it's too slow, and the drums really didn't work there. Could have been better. (-1)

Bubbleman! My favorite Robot Master of all-time! Quite different from the rest, yet fits in well. Not as fast-paced as the other tracks. Just calm and relaxed, compared to the others.

Enter Zero's theme. Pretty short, so not much to say.

Then comes Centaurman. The drums work good here, and don't ruin the song. Good job there!

An abrupt transition here. Not much you can do to change this. The drums, although a little annoying, were a nice touch.

I'm not sure if I guessed right there. Am I right or wrong there?
Anyways, nice ending!
